In this All American program violinist Tim Fain-a dynamic and compelling performer of traditional works-will show his other side-fervent champion of 20th and 21st century composers-performing the work of composers Patrick Zimmerli (World premiere), Nico Muhly, Kevin Puts, Mark O'Connor, William Bolcom, Randy Woolf, Lev Zhurbin with pianist Steven Beck and special guest singer/songwriter Jenna Nichols.

Avery Fisher Career Grant-winning violinist Tim Fain was selected as one of Symphony magazine's featured "Up-and-Coming" young musicians of 2006. This "charismatic young violinist with a matinee idol profile, strong musical instincts, and first rate chops" (Boston Globe and was recently heard as the sound of Richard Gere's violin in Fox SearchlightÕs feature film Bee Season. Recipient of the Young Concert Artists International Award, he has appeared as soloist with the Orchestra of St. Luke's, Mexico City Philharmonic, New York Chamber Symphony at Alice Tully Hall, and many others internationally. First violinist of the Rossetti Quartet, he has toured with Musicians from Marlboro, performed as a member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and appeared at the Spoleto, Ravinia, Moab and Santa Fe Festivals. His debut CD on Image Recordings combines old and new solo works.
